Type of Organisation: The Memorial Scrolls Trust was set up to be responsible for 1564 Torah and other scrolls that survived the Shoah in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Some 1400 scrolls have been allocated on Loan to communities and organizations around the world. If no longer suitable for services we encourage their use for educational, inter and intrafaith work as well as for memorials. Visitors to our internationally recognized Czech Memorial Scrolls Museum can see 150 Torah and over 450 binders/wimples, one of the largest collections of its type in the world.
Mission: Through the scrolls we wish to remember European Jewish life before the Holocaust as well as its tragic destruction, challenge those who interact with the scrolls to confront prejudice and hatred, and inspire them to action by committing to their Jewish lives and working to build bridges across communities
Services: We offer free Educational Packs as well as talks, both face to face and remote.
