Mission: Through the lens of the Holocaust, the Cypress College Holocaust Education Initiative educates our community about the dangers of intolerance, while empowering its citizens to stand against antisemitism, bigotry and hate by safeguarding the dignity of all people. 

Services: The Cypress College Holocaust Education Initiative provides professional development opportunities to middle school, high school, and community college teachers on incorporating the lessons of the Holocaust into their classroom curriculum. This training is supported by providing resources accessible to teachers and students to enhance lessons about the Holocaust and against intolerance of individuals and targeted groups. On site docent led tours are available on request.

The Foundation brings books, music and the performing arts together to tell a universal story of hope, empowering generations with knowledge and understanding. Partnering with educators to inspire students, families and communities through holistic programs to keep vital lessons of resilience engaging and relevant.

Mission: The Canadian Society for Yad Vashem’s (CSYV) mission is to disseminate the universal lessons of the Holocaust across Canada through commemorative and educational activities. CSYV, in tandem with Yad Vashem: The World Holocaust Remembrance Center, supports charitable projects, brings Canadian educators to Israel to educate and equip themselves with the right academic tools to address and teach the Holocaust in their classrooms and their communities across Canada and work in partnership with alumni of the seminar, with local school boards, provincial ministries of education and with Canadian organizations to continue this important education across Canada.

Mission or Function: The mission of the North Carolina Holocaust Foundation is to educate the community and public school teachers and students about the facts and the lessons learned from the Holocaust. The Holocaust Foundation teaches the values of diversity, democracy, pluralism, and inclusion to the community and to public school administrators, teachers, and students. The Holocaust Foundation educates against antisemitism, pro-Nazi sentiment, racism, and bigotry in North Carolina communities and public schools. The North Carolina Holocaust Foundation is dedicated to confront misconceptions and ignorance about the Holocaust, Jews, and Judaism. The vision of the North Carolina Holocaust Foundation is to ensure the permanence of Holocaust memory, understanding, and relevance. At the North Carolina Holocaust Foundation, we remember the dangers of unchecked hatred, and we educate students and adults alike on the lessons that the Holocaust teaches us. Type of Organization or Mission: The initiative aims to empower Kentucky teachers to meet the requirements of the 2018 Ann Klein and Fred Gross Holocaust Education Act which requires all Kentucky students to experience Holocaust and other genocide education in middle and high school. Funded by a grant from the Jewish Heritage Fund (JHF), and led by the interdisciplinary program in Jewish Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky and UK's Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), the UK-JHF Holocaust Education Initiative creates opportunities for interdisciplinary content sharing, pedagogical support, and collaborative planning among Kentucky teachers.

Programs and Services: The aims of the initiative are to: recruit and support teachers across the Commonwealth to educate about the Holocaust; collaborate with these teachers to create model curricular materials that can be used by teachers across the state; and create regional teacher cohorts to support and implement an empathetic and ethical Holocaust curriculum for all students.
